Fueled by Modern Day depictions of God and Religion in her every day life, Allison Fields is fed up. So when her mother scolds her for questioning why they believe in God at all, Allison vows to stop believing unless something happens. Something, she prays, that proves that God is even real.
Her prayer is heard.
Fusing dance, theatre, poetry, and music, an ensemble of storytellers are employed to tell a story. They turn her life upside down in order to challenge the way she views God in her present, teach her about the God of her past, and hopefully put faith in her future.
While on the way, the Griots discover that telling this story will not be easy. The questions that plague Allison will test the very threads that knit them together.
Will they live to tell the story?
